Ikeja
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 419 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $500 goes: • Materials: $340 • Permits and inspections: $15 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $90 Thanks for being kind about this. - Paul

                  • You're not alone, Paul. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Bhaktapur donated after I showed her your page. Love from Bhaktapur.
