Noida
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 244 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $400 goes: • Materials: $250 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $35 • Tools hire and delivery: $65 Thank you for reading my story.
