My brother Isaiah has been accepted for treatment at Southampton Transplant Centre in Southampton, starting on Tuesday in July. We live 292 km away in a town in the north, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 3 weeks. Two of us would stay: Isaiah and me. We can contribute $90 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Isaiah will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Montréal.

    • Praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 37 people at work. All the best!

      • Best of luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'll check back for the next update.

        • Thanks for sharing this, Everly. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

          • Hope things get better soon, Everly. Wishing Isaiah a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
