My wife Dinusha has been accepted for treatment at Colombo University Hospital in Colombo, starting on Friday in October. We live 366 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Dinusha and me. We can contribute $15 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Dinusha will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Thank you so much.

  • Wishing Dinusha a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Take care

    • Wishing Dinusha a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Colombo

      • Stay strong, Hasitha. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
