A repair café workshop for Unity Primary School: help our neighbors in San Diego
A community-led a repair café workshop at Unity Primary School that will serve 90 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,900.
It will serve about 90 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Materials: $980
• Permits and inspections: $220
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
• Tools hire and delivery: $480
