A repair café workshop for Union Primary School: help our neighbors in Sacramento

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $950. It will serve about 544 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $950 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $450 • Permits and inspections: $170 • Tools hire and delivery: $330 Thank you for reading my story.
