A repair café workshop for the Union health centre yard: help our neighbors in Dwarka

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 386 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $220 • Permits and inspections: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $25 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 I hope life is good to you.
