A repair café workshop for the Sycamore community hall: help our neighbors in Gaya
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $300 for materials.
🇮🇳 Gaya, Bihar, India1,266 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 529 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $170
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thinking of you, Anil. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
