A repair café workshop for the Pioneer community hall: help our neighbors in Quezon City

Volunteers in Quezon City are raising $600 for a repair café workshop at the Pioneer community hall.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer community hall, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $600. It will serve about 218 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $600 goes: • Materials: $420 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $30 • Tools hire and delivery: $105 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
