A repair café workshop for the old Harmony bus depot: help our neighbors in Port Harcourt

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Harmony bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 575 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Materials: $390 • Permits and inspections: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $35 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Joy
