A repair café workshop for the old Baobab bus depot: help our neighbors in Kawasaki
A community-led a repair café workshop at the old Baobab bus depot that will serve 525 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 525 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $800 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $330
• Tools hire and delivery: $135
• Permits and inspections: $335
