A repair café workshop for the old Baobab bus depot: help our neighbors in Newport
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $2,900 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,900.
It will serve about 431 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
