A repair café workshop for the old Acacia bus depot: help our neighbors in Belém
Volunteers in Belém are raising $850 for a repair café workshop at the old Acacia bus depot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Acacia bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 599 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $850 goes:
• Materials: $510
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $140
• Tools hire and delivery: $95
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
