A repair café workshop for the Liberty health centre yard: help our neighbors in Ahmedabad

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 507 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $470 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 Every share and every dollar helps. - Sowmya
