A community-led a repair café workshop at the Liberty community hall that will serve 545 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 545 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $800 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $200
• Tools hire and delivery: $390
• Safety equipment and signage: $210
Thanks for being kind about this.
