A repair café workshop for the Jacaranda vacant lot: help our neighbors in Thủ Đức
Volunteers in Thủ Đức are raising $150 for a repair café workshop at the Jacaranda vacant lot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $180, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 566 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
With deep gratitude,
Hoa

Thank you all. We're at 82% now ($123). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for permits and inspections is now scheduled.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($108 in total) I made the first payment toward permits and inspections. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Quick update: $40 raised so far (27%). the plan for tools hire and delivery is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
