A repair café workshop for the Jacaranda health centre yard: help our neighbors in Mysuru
Volunteers in Mysuru are raising $300 for a repair café workshop at the Jacaranda health centre yard.
🇮🇳 Mysuru, Karnataka, India627 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 402 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $145
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
I hope life is good to you.
