A repair café workshop for the Freedom health centre yard: help our neighbors in Miami
A community-led a repair café workshop at the Freedom health centre yard that will serve 278 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,650.
It will serve about 278 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Materials: $1,000
• Tools hire and delivery: $220
