A repair café workshop for the Acacia community hall: help our neighbors in Santos

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 298 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $750 goes: • Materials: $340 • Permits and inspections: $85 • Safety equipment and signage: $150 • Tools hire and delivery: $175 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
