Pretoria
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $900. It will serve about 127 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $900 goes: • Permits and inspections: $90 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Materials: $755 Thank you for reading my story. - Ayanda

  1. 30% there. the plan for safety equipment and signage is now scheduled. Thank you.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($115 in total) the plan for materials is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
