Sacramento

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $800. It will serve about 423 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $800 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $430 • Permits and inspections: $120 • Tools hire and delivery: $250 Thanks for being kind about this.
