A repair café workshop for Jacaranda Park: help our neighbors in Liverpool

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,500. It will serve about 366 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,500 goes: • Permits and inspections: $330 • Materials: $2,950 • Tools hire and delivery: $220 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Claire
