A repair café workshop for Baobab Primary School: help our neighbors in Mekelle
Volunteers in Mekelle are raising $450 for a repair café workshop at Baobab Primary School.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 416 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $350
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $15
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
