A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Pasig
Volunteers in Pasig are raising $600 for a repair café workshop at the Baobab community hall.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 498 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Permits and inspections: $65
• Materials: $475
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Great idea, hope you get there. Love from Quezon City
Rooting for you. More neighborhoods should do this. After 19 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Sakai.
