A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Leeds
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $1,650 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,650.
It will serve about 483 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Materials: $1,100
• Tools hire and delivery: $155
• Safety equipment and signage: $395
