A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Kharkiv
Volunteers in Kharkiv are raising $300 for a repair café workshop at Jacaranda Primary School.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 488 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Materials: $200
I hope life is good to you.
