A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Howrah
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $100 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $100.
It will serve about 118 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Tools hire and delivery: $40
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
