A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Aurangabad
Volunteers in Aurangabad are raising $500 for a repair café workshop at the old Union bus depot.
🇮🇳 Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India1,244 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 348 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $360
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

You're not alone, Pranav. Great idea, hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Nashik.
Best of luck, Pranav. I hope things turn around soon.
Keep going, Pranav. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Take care.
Hope it all works out, Pranav. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up. All the best
