A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Aberdeen
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $2,050 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,050.
It will serve about 575 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
