A ramp for Tama: volunteers and tools needed
Tama uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Tama has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Tama can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Tama's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

So sorry you're going through this, Aroha M. Shared this with my family. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Thinking of you. Your post was clear and honest. After 12 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Christchurch!
Wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Christchurch.
Sending love. Wishing Tama a smooth procedure and a full recovery. God bless.
Take care, Aroha M. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Lahore this morning.
