A ramp for Srinivas: volunteers and tools needed
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Mumbai.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India1,034 views
Srinivas has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Srinivas can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Srinivas's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. After 8 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
Thinking of you, Harini. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Wishing you peace. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Mumbai.
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to București so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Istanbul!
