A ramp for Samantha: volunteers and tools needed
Help Samantha regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 New Mexico, United States869 views
Samantha has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Samantha can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Samantha's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Jakarta Selatan donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Ikeja but we're thinking of you.
wishing you the best, Walter. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Blessings.
Take care, Walter. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
