A ramp for Ramón: volunteers and tools needed
Ramón uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇪🇸 Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain904 views
Ramón has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ramón can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ramón's family will cook lunch for the team.

it takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Alcalá de Henares.
