A ramp for Pravin: volunteers and tools needed
Help Pravin regain independence: a simple ramp build.
πΏπ¦ George, Western Cape, South Africa936 views
Pravin has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Pravin can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Pravin's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

thanks for sharing this, Suren. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Stay strong, Suren. Looking forward to the next update. After 11 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Ballarat
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Kathmandu.
