A ramp for Nevaeh: volunteers and tools needed
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Dundee.
🇬🇧 Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom632 views
Nevaeh has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Nevaeh can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Nevaeh's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Best of luck. Hope the doctors have good news. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
Hang in there. Hope this works out for you. After 29 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Dundee
keep going, Ellie. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Stay strong, Ellie. Wishing Nevaeh a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't give up.
