A ramp for Laura: volunteers and tools needed

Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Cartagena.

Laura has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Laura can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Laura's family will cook lunch for the team. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Sending love, Joaquín. Wishing Laura a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Greetings from Mysuru.

    • Hope it all works out. Hope the doctors have good news. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Cartagena.

      • Hope things get better soon, Joaquín. Looking forward to the next update. Take care

        • So sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care
