A ramp for Galit: volunteers and tools needed
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Tel Aviv.
🇮🇱 Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel374 views
Galit has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Galit can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Galit's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
You're not alone, Maya. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Saint Paul.
Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
