A ramp for Corinne: volunteers and tools needed
Corinne uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇫🇷 Île-de-France, France1,150 views
Corinne has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Corinne can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Corinne's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out
Keep going. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
I hope things turn around soon. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from London.
