A ramp for Adnan: volunteers and tools needed

Help Adnan regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Adnan has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Adnan can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Adnan's family will cook lunch for the team. Thanks for being kind about this.

Best of luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out.

        • hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best

          • So sorry you're going through this, Rabia. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Bangkok but we're thinking of you
