A ramp for Aarti: volunteers and tools needed
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Nagpur.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India1,555 views
Aarti has used a wheelchair since 2021, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Aarti can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Aarti's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Rawalpindi so I could bring a meal.
Hope things get better soon. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Sent it to 18 people at work.
