Asaba
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 325 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 • Materials: $425 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Victor

Updates from Victor

  1. 71% there. I made the first payment toward materials. Thank you.

  2. Small update. $175 so far, I made the first payment toward safety equipment and signage.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($120 in total) I made the first payment toward safety equipment and signage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Victor
