A rainwater harvesting system for the old Unity bus depot: help our neighbors in Nairobi
Volunteers in Nairobi are raising $400 for a rainwater harvesting system at the old Unity bus depot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 113 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $250
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
I hope life is good to you.
