Worcester
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,850. It will serve about 279 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,850 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $300 • Materials: $1,250 • Safety equipment and signage: $300 Thanks for being kind about this.
