A rainwater harvesting system for Pioneer Primary School: help our neighbors in Mecca

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $1,750 for materials.

Mecca
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,750. It will serve about 236 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,750 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $290 • Safety equipment and signage: $320 • Materials: $1,140 Glad we found this place. - Osama
