A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Maple Primary School that will serve 176 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 176 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $270
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
