A rainwater harvesting system for Lotus Primary School: help our neighbors in Mumbai

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $135, and the remaining cost is $800. It will serve about 85 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $800 goes: • Materials: $580 • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $80 • Tools hire and delivery: $100 Thank you so much. - Naveen
