A rainwater harvesting system for Lotus Park: help our neighbors in Istanbul
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Lotus Park that will serve 137 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 137 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $700 goes:
• Materials: $530
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $90
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
