A rainwater harvesting system for Liberty Primary School: help our neighbors in Tokyo
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Liberty Primary School that will serve 314 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 314 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $800 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Tools hire and delivery: $360
• Safety equipment and signage: $335
