For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,650. It will serve about 424 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,650 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $145 • Materials: $2,150 • Permits and inspections: $355 Thank you so much.

Updates from Heike

  1. Quick update: $59 raised so far (2%). the plan for safety equipment and signage is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 2% now ($49). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.
