A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Radom
Volunteers in Radom are raising $1,450 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Harmony health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,450.
It will serve about 291 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Materials: $1,000
• Permits and inspections: $140
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
